Rocket is a sweet 3- to 4-year-old Shih Tzu boy, just 9.7 lbs. He lived his life in a puppymill and has been enjoying his freedom for only a few weeks. He's a little shy with strangers, but warms up quickly. He's such a happy little boy, who loves to follow his foster mom around, but is learning that toys can be fun, too. Rocket is great in the car, walks well on a leash, and is doing very well on house training, especially when he has another pup to imitate. He loves to snuggle with his foster mom and gives little kisses of appreciation. Meet Otis, Rowdy and Barney. They were born on 4-16-08 and are currently about 4lbs each, however, Rowdy and Barney are slimmer then Otis. We are working on house training. Rowdy is the black and white and tan baby. Otis has the darker face - more black on face - he is a little butter ball. Barney is the one with the lighter face and head. Barney and Otis like to be cuddled more then Rowdy does. Rowdy likes cuddling to a point, but he is a boy on the move. Bubbles is a 7 year old black/tan peke with EXCELLENT house manners.  She is completely housetrained, knows how to sit and come when called.  She is a complete goofball who "talks" to you when she wants treats, lovins or a lap to rest on. She does sit pretty and beg with her paws whenever she wants something. Hi! My name is a Dutch and I am a sweet, snuggly mix-breed weighing (a slightly overweight) twenty pounds. Nobody's really sure about my ancestry, but many people think I'm a dachshund-beagle mix because of my beautiful, silky black & tan coat and sweet, loyal temperament. I walk very well on a leash and enjoy rides in the car, although I am perfectly happy just lounging around the house. My housetraining is nearly perfect and I use the doggie door like a pro. I get along really well with the other dogs here and just love getting new plushies! Felix is a 5 - 6 yr. old Pomeranian who weighs 8 lbs.  He's a calm and gentle little boy who has a wonderful temperament.  He loves attention, and enjoys cuddling, belly rubs and sleeping with his people.  Felix gets along well with everyone including dogs, cats and older children.  He is a nice leash walker and car rider, and is nicely housetrained.  Felix has premature cataracts which have left him blind.  It has been determined by an Eye Specialist that he is not eligible for corrective surgery. Fozzie Bear had a rough beginning but is now making huge strides! Fozzie is a  1 1/2 yr old Lhasa Poodle mix. He's approximately 14lbs, but short in stature. Just right for having fun! Fozzie was severely abused in his short life and still has some trust issues, but with love, time and an understanding of his of his limitations, he's slowly coming to trust again.
