Silky - Female Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu Mix
Silky is a Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu mix who is approximately four years old and 16 pounds. She came to rescue when her family realized that living a life tied to a tree wasn't the best. She is fully housetrained, when taken out on schedule. This sweet little girl has her special places in the house and when she's in her special bed, she doesn't want any other dogs to invade her territory. She is very sweet, sleeps in the big bed, and loves to race and play in the fenced in yard, and this girl can RUN. Silky looks like a Cairn, but has the coat of a Shih Tzu. Silky has not been exposed to cats. She loves people, and particularly loves the 9 year old child in her foster home. Silky should go to a home with children over the age of eight who are dog savvy and accustomed to dogs. Silky the Cairn/Shih Tzu mix is fostering in NY and is ready for her new home.
