Petie - Male Shih Tzu
Petie, a beautiful blonde-brindle, 12 lb. Shih Tzu boy, lived in a commercial breeding facility for the first 6-8 years of his life. He has been “free” since September, 2006. This darling little Tzu is finally getting a taste of the joys of puppyhood. After years in a cage, he has gained strength and muscle tone and is quite happy to hang out with other furbabies in his foster home. He has made great progress on his potty training and is nearly housetrained. Petie is as gentle and sweet-natured as can be, earning the nickname of Sweetie Petie. He is still in the process of learning to trust people and is still skiddish around strangers and men, but he loves being petted and cuddled by his foster mom. Petie has dry eye, and needs daily eye drops. He would do best with another gentle-dispositioned Shih Tzu, a stay at home parent, and no more than one male in the household. Petie’s most favorite fun activity is going for car rides; he will jump right in and get comfortable, ready to go! Patience and love will be the essential traits that will enable this sweet guy to have what he desires most, to become part of a family. Petie is fostering in South Carolina and can travel to his forever home.
