Muppet, Female Shih Tzu
My name is Muppet and I am looking for someone special. I am a precious 2 year old Shih Tzu girl and puppy mill survivor. I was rescued April 4, but had to spend several weeks in the shelter until the judge approved my release. It's been a confusing time, and I get scared pretty easily. I am a little timid until I get to know new people and learn that they just want to be friends. I'm a little afraid of human hands but I am learning that when nice people reach out, they just want to pet me and I like it. I don't think I was ever petted before I met my foster family and friends. I have learned how to accept kisses and give them. I am very comfortable around other furbabies, but prefer my surroundings to be calm and quiet so I don't get jumpy. I don't like big dogs yet because they intimidate me. I have come a long way since moving in with my foster mom and dad. I trust them and even lay on my back in their arms and fall asleep as they rub my tummy, that is one of my most favorite things! I am doing well on potty training and haven't had an accident in a while. Before my rescue, I was confined for most of my life in a 2X3 crate so now that I am free, I love to run and play outside. Everything is amazing to me. I need a quiet home with a fenced yard, another shih tzu and lots of love and patience. I'm fostering in Texas, and can travel - but not too far!
