Tigger is a 5 year-old tiny Yorkshire Terrier, weighing a "whopping" 4.5 pounds, although he may have gained a few ounces in foster care. Tigger is a "Velcro dog" who loves to lounge in somebody's arms or lap, really adoring his foster daddy in particular, who is home with him during the day. This precious Yorkie has a wonderful personality, but he is a terrier, and tends to be protective of the humans in his home and wants to "run off" the visitors, but settles down quickly. He makes a wonderful doorbell! Tigger the Yorkie sleeps in the big bed, is wonderful with the other dogs in the house and generally ignores the resident cat, although he will chase her on occasion. Kennedy is a delightful 3 year-old Shih Tzu boy and still very puppy-like, with a face to melt your heart. This handsome 12 pound blond/gold pup is perky, happy, well-adjusted, sweet, and is housetrained.  Though Kennedy likes to be inside playing or napping, he sure does love to go out for a brisk walk, though he's happy at a slower pace too. This precious Shih Tzu loves other dogs and they are quite fond of him as well.  With cats, Kennedy is curious but has learned the warning signs of a displeased feline. Spencer is a beautiful 6 year-old female Dachshund vacationing in Tampa, Florida while she waits for her forever home. Spencer's favorite outside activities are long walks, chasing her ball in the back yard, and swimming in the pool! This Doxie girl has an absolutely wonderful, happy disposition. Lucy the Yorkie/Poodle mix was born in January of 2007. This adorable baby weighs 13 lbs, walks on a leash, and is doing well with her house training as long as she is taken out on a schedule. This adorable YorkiePoo is good with kids, dogs, and adults – in fact, she quite simply loves everyone (although she has not been cat-tested). Lucy loves to play with toys of all sorts, but also loves lap time with the humans in her foster home. Lucy is solid black with a little brown in her muzzle. Nick is a 9 pound, liver and white male Shih Tzu.  This precious little boy came to us straight from a puppy mill that was closed by authorities.  We don't know how he got there, because it's obvious he loves to cuddle, and is hungry for snuggles and belly rubs. Nick is great with other small furbabies. He is mostly housetrained, and does very well in a fenced yard. He also loves going for walks and does well on a leash.  When Nick came to us, he was in terrible condition - it took us more than an hour to find the little boy beneath the matted hair.  His jaw is in two pieces from an old injury, but it has healed and doesn't interfere with Nick's ability to eat, drink and play vigorously with squeaky toys. Nick also has a heart murmur that is not causing him any problems at this time.  Because Nick is attached to people, and so desperate for affection, we are looking for a home where someone is home most of the time... Click to Continue...

Kiwi is an amazingly adorable tri-color, long coated, male Chihuahua. He is ten years old, and weighs five pounds. Anubis is a darling 8 month old, black and white Shih Tzu puppy boy, weighing about 12 pounds. He is housetrained, and has a sweet personality all his own. Anubis came to us with a corneal ulcer (eye abrasion), that ruptured almost immediately. Sadly, although he saw a specialist, we couldn't save his eye, and so his right eye was removed. He healed quickly, and now you can't keep him down. Play, run, play again is all he wants to do. He is a typical puppy, with more energy than you can imagine.
